I'm someone that has read the novel so let me explain!!
A lesha is basically a harem meant for the Shah's (mainly meant to be amon's harem)
The reason why it's bad of Rue to become a lesha and why Na-in is mad isn't because he sees Rue as a competitor in the harem for amon,, but rather because it is the Lesha's duty to die for the Shah's. And it is the duty of one of the Lesha's to die before any of the ceremonies/celebrations that are being held.
Nain is upset because Rue is misunderstanding why Na-in is so upset at everything happening around him and sees it as "I've upset nain, time to find a way to die so I can repay for my sins!" When all nain wants is for the people around him to stay alive.
So what happened to rue after this? I don't mind any spoiler dunno
*spoiler*
Rue will continue to serve as a lesha because it's very difficult to undo the process or step down from becoming a lesha. Through all this, he is caught between his loyalty to serve amon Vs his loyalty to serve Na-in.
This eventually leads to Nain making a deal with Gwen to help Rue stay alive at all costs, and makes their relationship a lot closer within the novel!!

Amon doesn't care for the harem at all- or anything else happening around them. He only and very very only cares about Na-in.
To be frank, Lesha's are just basically a position close to the Shah and used as sacrificial offerings when needed.
Rue also intends to be a lesha because he is jealous of the attention that Gwen receives from Na-in
They're just around lol
He's only fucking Nain iirc, Leshah are for his entertainment only and mainly the ideal use for them is to entertain Nain so he wont get bored
where do u read the novel pls ?
