I thought "Damn finally a manwha that isn't slow" because they didn't dedicate 50 chapters to her childhood and her bond with her dad.
I was pretty shocked after only 20 chapters she went after the real daughter. But then holy shit it's so slow. I skipped from chapter 44 to the latest one and that Nanny is still in bed PLUS the art changed.
I love this trope and I'd read it a thousand times but (from what I've read) it's badly executed here. They should have made her live in the magic tower when she escaped and dedicated 20 ish chapters to her life with her new family before the Emperor finds her again.
Now I just feel like it's all so messy. She's convinced she's gonna die so she wanna leave yet she keeps telling everyone she won't leave before saying bye. Her real dad and brothers are obsessed with her for no reason. Her fake dad is also obsessed with her and as expected from a manwha main character she's still drowning in her fake delusion that she will be killed.
Has it never crossed her mind that in the book she got killed because she was an horrible person? If I were her I'd just tell the Emperor to promise that he would never execute her and accept to live quietly in the palace with all the people I love. She should also have showed the book to her dad. I suspect he's the reason why that book exists, with that much power he can probably turn back time.
End of rent! If someone has read all the chapters so far, if something new happened please do tell me, I don't want to read 50 chapters of a protagonist isolating herself and pushing her fake dad away because she thinks the book's content is the absolute truth. How have you lived so many years with him and still think it's all a facade?! How oblivious can you be?!?! (OH and don't tell me turns out the blondie is possessed by either another girl who got hit by the truck or the author of the book, I already know duh, I'd be more shocked if she was actually a nice person)
I really feel you should actually read the story instead of skipping…this is isn’t done poorly at all. There are some parts that get a bit slow, I won’t lie, but the fact that our MC has zero knowledge of the real world and yet deduced that there was a transmigrator AND had the balls to tell her straight out she IS NOT the person who used to love in that body, plus the introduction to a ‘system’ that she has no background understanding how to use her utilizes it well, all solely based on conjecture and research…I’d say it’s pretty refreshing.
I hate when they show a normal looking girl with freckles and they say she's ugly. Acting like she's a disgusting freak when she looks average. Just wait until they put makeup on her and suddenly she becomes pretty. If the author wanted us to believe she's ugly they could have made some efforts, it's so obvious the artist can't draw ugly characters.
That aside, since Pauline described herself to Vincent the way her sister Aisha looks, I hope he won't end up being fooled thinking she's the Pauline he has been longing for (Little mermaid style). I feel like Aisha will learn about the story between Pauline and Vincent and try to take advantage of it. I also would have assumed he'd ATLEAST recognize her voice.
End of rent.
No no. But in the novel it is really clear that she IS ugly. Here in the manhwa they just add the freckles.. bc if u pay attention in all Korean comics when they make someone ugly they add freckles ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍. Or the piggy nose.. bur that's not the point.
Anyways she is a beautiful person and that's what everyone around her love and adore about her. She really is lovely. An amazing character
Ok here I go
- "And the first ugly me, I was kept by his side well."
- "My day was all about food, laundry, cleaning, working in Mark’s bakery downtown during the day, and being beaten by my violent father at night
It was a hard life without a proper breath. My ugly face was swollen, and I became uglier. And I broke my leg during the growing phase of my life, and my height stopped. An ugly dwarf. That’s what the kids in town called me."

The idea of her popping out a grown baby with a head full of hair somehow makes me weirded out. Couldn’t they have just made her pop out a crying baby with no hair or something twins would have been better ngl. Also kinda mad the baby didn’t have red eyes
You can take this as a grain of salt but from a bit of surface level research (not really in depth) i saw that asians babies tend to have more hair on their head when compared to other places and it a manwha so it will take some artistic liberties and exaggerate some features, again this is just some surface level research,if you want to confirm this do your own research and check the facts.
That artist could have just thought it looked better like that. And why the kid eyes arent red could just be that red eyes arent dominant genes or the artist just prefer it.
So from this site https://www.23andme.com/en-int/topics/traits/newborn-hair/ there sre a few readons why babies tend to be born eith a full head of hair or with no hair/patchy with bsld stops
1.lanugo-Around week 10 of pregnancy, those follicles start growing tiny strands of hair called lanugo. By week 20, the scalp is covered with hair. But lanugo isn’t the kissably soft stuff you see on a newborn’s head. Lanugo is typically shed in the uterus around 24-28 weeks (6months)of pregnancy. So after hair can grow.
Genetics-There are other factors that may influence hair growth as well. Newborns with darker complexions often have more hair than babies with lighter skin, suggesting that genetics probably also plays a role.
Genes that your prarents pass down can cause u to have more hair
Bald Baby: When Will They Start Growing Hair? - Healthline
There is no telling what a baby's hair will look like or how much they'll have. Some babies are born with a lot of it and some are born with a perfectly bald head. Both are normal situations.Sooo u can try to predict if a child will be born with more hair if u look at the genes but ehh
I've read the whole manwha, then I went back to the beginning and realized Lucia literally forgot about her author friend, she doesn't even send her letters anymore. Plus we haven't seen the mad dog dude in a while. The art also progressively gets sloppier (yet still beautiful), but the fact that her boobs keep changing shapes really makes me confused, and the 18+ scenes feel like fillers, why do they have to happen every 2 chapters? And HOW does such a small woman manage to fit that beast? At this point they should just quickly find a cure for her inability to become pregnant, make her pregnant and boom the story is over. They keep on dragging the story even more for no reason. They're madly in love and Damien now calls her mom. What more could the story possibly add besides her becoming pregnant and then we see them with their children (including damien)?

From the moment Alpheus proposed it all went so fast, there is so much stuff that hasn't been solved? And that part where they speak about the pink hair girl family and they say they still haven't found their first daughter they gave to an orphanage?? Hello?? Was that foreshadowing for nothing?? And how did the other prince react to this marriage, did Isabella become Queen or not?
