To be fair, the ML is just giving the MC the "ordinary friendship" the MC wanted. Yeah, the ML is still an asshole with rude intentions, but I'd lable him a yellow flag at worst. I don't think we need a chasing arc - the whole first season was the ML chasing the MC (even if not out of genuine love). What we need is the MC to realize his feelings, be honest, and for the ML to realize his feelings, and apologize for his actions/intentions. I'd rather see them properly build up their relationship, than skip it with a chasing arc that jumps into romance.

Now that it's completed it's a cute, short read. The smut is good, and while it doesn't delve deeply into the characters their actions are consistent and understandable.

The ML isn't as bad as comments claim. He was just firm with his boundaries and slow to realize his feelings. The 2nd ML was there to push him toward that realization faster, honestly, rather than being any actual competition.
I do hope we get side stories for the 2 side love interests, but I also hope the artist takes as much time as they need. A year long break indicates an issue in rl, and I just hope things are okay for them.
