I really hate reading fmcs just taking abuse as if it makes them strong because they have to earn respect the "right" (annoying) way. Like where's an mc that immediately pulls out the weeds before it takes over the garden. The ones that suffer are the allies that stand with the mc because the mc is untouchable due to plot armor and this is a perfect example. I need the fmc to use her assassin skills to just take out the competition, if everyones playing dirty why does she have to play nice??! Hopefully she takes that uncles help instead of forcing an overly independent, stubborn fmc trope that permeates through every strong fmc story.
I think that rn it’s developing her character? She’s never experienced her companions she actually cares about being hurt in her place before. She can endure it fine when it’s directed only at her since she’s willing to wait to strike against her enemies. However, these past few chapters is her realizing that others will be hurt if she waits and her grappling with these new emotions she’s never experienced before. Even in the latest chapter she only realizes that she’s angry when someone else says it. She is very underdeveloped as a person and this experience was good for her to understand more about her own emotions as well as how her actions effects others. I think she’ll be more proactive in the future chapters
I was reading this so casually not expecting to be hit with the most soul crushing scenario I, as a girl with a twin brother(too close to home), can imagine wtffff I'm crying for the original fl and Ciendel so much. Twins always have to suffer for the plot its my fault for being a twin atp lol
