Dropping this at chapter 30, ml is a manipulative prick who uses his problems as a way to coerce the mc into doing sexual things with him, their first sex scene is forceful and a classic example of bl “mc says no and that it hurts and cries but its fine cause he learns to like it” garbage.

This was one of the first bls i read and its one thats stuck with me for a long time. The story and art are beautiful and match each other so very well, it is everything i wish more bls would be, a story that tries to be a good story first. It is proof that bl can be more than rapey stereotypes and fetishization, that it can be, like any other genre something special and great. It is incredibly rare i find myself tearing up at things, yet i cant help it when reading this. It truly breaks out of the confines of its genre and becomes something on par with any other type of media. I love this story dearly and highly recommend it to others.

Dude this ml is so shit, watches the guy he likes get berated and almost hit by his dad and just looks on with the expression of a deer in front of a ford focus going 75mph, then does nothing to comfort him. Then when they have sex he just does whatever he wants and refuses to listen to mc, mc is constantly telling him no and that he doesnt want to keep going but ml just ignores his consent and keeps going. So sick of this rapey ass trope.

He cant beat ml in a fight and has no good moment to try and make a break for it, the best he can do is try to go along with ml and try to talk him out of it. When someone has a gun to your head you dont try to john wick your way out of it you just do as they say.
Also people saying mc is dumb for not noticing the red flags but the ml was seemingly getting better from an outside perspective and even if he had some red flags no one in their right mind wouldve expected him to kidnap mc.
