I hate how much the parents are being glorified. They didn't accept their son coming out and actually expected him to "try harder" to like girls? That is not how sexuality works. He didn't ask to be brought into this world- that was their selfish choice. He owes them absolutely nothing.

Because he regrets his relationship with Gitae that cost him relationship with his family and also because it affected his fathers health.. he is blaming himself for everything that happened
Thats the point it implies that if he listened to his parents all of that wouldn't happen. But that's not true and he isn't responsible for his shitty parents
