I guess when the fox said "waiting for someone to come back like that... wasn't so bad after all..." it implies that the fox too waited for his past lover to come back. That past lover is Na-in who is working with him in flower shop.

i truly loved it. No unnecessary misunderstandings, no unnecessary s*x scene etc. Hats off to the author. Please continue the work, and on future please create a new story with heartwarming story line as this. I guess everyone will agree to me.
