brother eugh. 41 chapters of MC suffering, 1 chapter of ML suffering? and the story only had 42 chapters... emperor, her friends, and even her family were bad people to MC. it felt like ending up with the ML was the lesser of 2 evils and yet he was the worst character of them all. this story might have been mid in the 2000s tho, it has all the incest, grooming, stereotypes needed for a popular 00s story.
