I really enjoyed this manhwa! The ending felt a bit rushed and sudden to me but at least they had a somewhat happy ending since it can be assumed that the priest at least found a way to cure the MC’s infertility, but I wonder if they were ever able to lift the curse or if it still got passed onto her daughter (T_T)

I also think the MC was well written. She was def crazy and broken but that made her a very interesting character. I wished the manhwa explored some of the details about the past before the MC’s regression cycles began since it felt like some stuff wasn’t explained very well, but I’m guessing it’s bc the manhwa was adapted from a novel so they couldn’t fit everything in within the given time frame and length of the adaption unfortunately D: Otherwise, I’d say this was a pretty good story!

The ending and latter half of the story was really disappointing to me. The beginning started off pretty strong with good characters and a unique premise. I especially liked the ML crossdressing as a girl and I wish their romance was explored more when they were kids. After the time skip everything felt rushed and the way their romance progressed was unnatural imo, not to mention the way the story suddenly ended. The characters felt less complex and the ML’s pining was annoying because the MC kept rejecting his advances, so when she suddenly started to fall in love for him it was just weird. The buildup with the political stuff going on fell flat when the ML brute forced his way to claim the throne. What was the point of all that build up anyways? Tbh I don’t think the time skip should have happened, or at least until much later. They def had a vibe going on in the former part of the story, but after Astair returned as an adult the whole thing felt too forced, as if the author hit a writer’s blrock or smth

I decided to drop this manhwa at chapter 56 despite the high ratings due to how the MC treats slavery and regards the purple eyed boy being trafficked at a black market auction she’s attending with her older brothers. It makes sense for her family to not care about the morality of an auction selling child slaves since they’re written to be villainistic, but the MC is from a version of our world in the modern era and should not he okay with this at all in any aspect despite believing that she’s in a novel, so she has no excuse with her messed up line of thinking. She basically thinks of the boy as an animal to be tamed and wants to raise him for her own benefit, then pats her own back like a hypocrite for supposedly saving him from a life of being used as a tool, despite her literally planning to both groom him (she’s an adult in a child’s body) and use him as a tool! The only difference is that she’s gonna treat him better…

I don’t understand why there’s so many OIs that include slavery in their stories only to completely brush it under the rug. It barely contributes to the actual plot either. I hate how many protags will treat it far too lightly for what it truly is. I get that it’s primarily meant to be focused on romance/child care (for this particular manhwa), but there’s really no excuse for authors to use slavery as a meaningless plot device like this.
