The beginning was great well paced, interesting characters, intriguing stories. But the author obviously lost motivation and fucked the entire story over. The pacing was awful, stories lines left unfinished and unsatisfying. What was supposed to be a slow burn turned into a fast paced romance although established that Chris had relationship trauma and trust issues. Evan got into BDSM much too fast, and Chris lost all his sass and spark. The side couple was interesting but again the pacing killed the momentum as we never saw them officially get together. I despise when authors give up on their story and characters in favor of another project. Don’t get readers invested if you will so easily drop a good project for the next best thing. They couldn’t even be bothered to give it a proper ending, such a waste of time.
