This is confusing, I thought the brother hate the knight that's why he sends away the son of God.
I honestly think he see's him as competition. Like the fact his brother laid eyes on him and begun to seek love from the knight and not sonah (older brother) rooted untastely feelings for the knight. However I think he in a way admires the knight and is also jealous of his brother for occupying the knights attention. I'm assuming this feeling he chose to blame on the mc and it turned into an unhealthy obsession. Basically he jealous of the relationship they have and thinks he deserves both of their affection to the upmost standard.
