not really though. old先 has been sprinkling in the angsty bits here and there.. like, all the surface level silly shenanigans of running around hiding from he cheng in reality is just he tian desperately trying to spend some happy moments with mo just a liiiittle bit longer before he has to go. several chapters ago he cheng straight up tells him he’s gonna get transferred to a different school, and he knows he can’t be running away forever, so in the prev chapter he tells mo he’s gonna leave soon.. i guess no one yet realizes how long his absence gonna be
