First of all…okay I get that they were safe for 5-6 years without her baby daddy. However, the excuse of not fighting for a life with the man you love and the father of your child is, so your son can have a normal life.
Though what it sounds like to me is he’s never really had that. Because you’re always moving from place to place. (That’s a new school, new people, new environment every time.) Like you can’t claim that’s what you want for you’re child. Then do something completely different.
This boy hasn’t had a father in his first since day one. And yes as the mother, she has rights, but as the father, so does he. Also the fact that he would accept her decision if and when it really comes down to it, is saying a lot. He’s even considering giving up his dreams to be king of his country (that he loves so much.) to be with his family. And she can’t wait one day to up and leave.
On top of that while he’s out rearranging his life for “THEM.” Not just for her. Because I’m pretty sure he understands her point of view considering that that’s his child too, and he loves him whether he just learned about him. She’s just thinking about “HERSELF.”
She literally asked her son if he wanted to go or if he decided to stay, why would she leave in the first place, if he would’ve said he’s staying. Where would she have gone without her son!? Because then he’d live without his mother. She’ll be on the run. Her old boss will still be trying to kill her son and baby daddy. She’d be what!!??? HIDING. That’s on a new level of selfishness.
Would he, though? Unless the boss is super shitty at his job, he’s had over 5 yrs to kill the duke. He seems to really be targeting her, so her disappearing on her own might actually cause her boss to shift his attention to only her? Or maybe she’d just decide to go after her boss on her own if her son chose stay with his father. Who knows? The writing isn’t that good. Lol
