Here what I remember : the bottom had glasses and was older

at the beginning of the story the top was a child music prodigy (don’t remember the instrument) and the bottom was a young adult working in the music field . The top won some kind of contest, got into a famous conservatory of music?? (lead by a family maybe the top’s family not sure) . (I think he got adopted by that family ??)
The bottom was shocked by the child’s talent for music
After a few years of not seeing each other, we learn that the top stopped playing music.
But he came back one day a young man , had a recital, but crashed and fled his own presentation when he saw the bottom at the door .
Someone called the bottom because the top went missing.
But the top shows up at the bottom’s apartment door , drunk maybe ?? and he confesses that he has always loved him
