From what I think the author might not have said it explicitly but I think Zhang xi and jiam yi are dating. In one chapter jian yi confessed to him and Zhang xi then kissed his forehead,the next day they went on a date. And after that chapter jian yi was thinking of a place to bring Zhang xi on a date. That's what I think about their relationship
