That reasoning is honestly frustrating. Whether he has feelings or not doesn’t change the fact that they are legally married. If he wants to sleep around, that should at least be with the MC’s consent. Otherwise, it is still cheating, plain and simple. Emotional detachment doesn’t excuse breaking a marital commitment. Seriously, you all make me wonder if you all think that Prince Charles cheating on Princess Diana was justified just because he never loved her and had no intent or desire to commit to her just because he loved someone else. Also, let’s not ignore the fact that the woman the ML slept with was also married, and from what I’ve seen in other comments, he knew that. Even if he weren’t married himself, knowingly getting involved with someone who is makes him just as bad.
