They aren't deleted you'll get them back.
don't worry, ppl whose acc were made in 2014 and 2015, as in earlier years, they're slowly getting their reads back. Here's some proof

Soo with the people with the older accounts..does that mean they are the first to get the list back or they been dealing with this problem for a while and they had to wait and now we have to ....
my account is from 2016 and i was still reading when the site went down and was locked out for a couple of hours... for the entire day today i had my already read/reading/want to read zeroed until like an hour ago that they started restoring it so im guessing newer accounts just have to wait a little too but no we didnt have this issue before
