every time they called him "hetero" I had to mentally cross it out and substitute "CLOSETED BI GUY" in my head or else I wanted to punch through my computer screen....why do so many yaoi authors seem to forget that gay and straight are not the only two categories out there?
Isnt it possible Okada would only fel attraction to Sakaki? Maybe that is why the author kept calling him "hetero" rather than "bi", to emphasize Okada's feelings for Sakaki as being special, and exclusively for Sakaki.
Oh sorry, but I do understand what you are saying. Manga artists seem to have only "hetero" or "gay" in their stories. The other day I read one where the character said hr was "bi" and I was, in fact, surprised.
Dude, not just manga authors...
I think that's what Okada was saying about Sakaki drawing lines between things, and why earlier he was so frustrated with Miyama about the same thing. Okada never calls himself hetero really... I think he knows he's bi, but he's everyone keeps drawing lines between hetero and gay. Somehow I wonder if this author isn't a bit bi hehe
I agree with the comment above mine, the sequel is called double line bc Sakaki is the one drawing those lines. I myself hate when people draw that line, I'm more like Okada, and I don't particularly care. Well, at least I think that Okada is like that and that's why he pointed it out.

okay so I really didn’t expect that the most wholesome yaoi I’ve read in years would also involve knotting LOL
*spoilers*
also can I just say how much I love that haine respects natsuo’s boundaries….for their first time, haine controlling himself and making sure natsuo is comfortable is WAY hotter than the whole “please, at least let me shower first!” “no, I want you too badly!” scenario. that scene where he went and brought him clothes but was waiting outside shirtless in thirst trap mode, that healed something in me. consent is sexy, y’all!
