good to see ppl are still fighting in the comment section about this bl lolol. I read this about a month ago and was an emotional WRECK so it makes sense that everyone is too. Despite what ppl may say, the fact that the fandom is so divided on the ending and are quite literally analyzing previous chapters makes it clear to me that the author really excelled on the ending and on the love triangle part. Every single one of the main characters has something shitty about them, they’re human and the author portrayed that perfectly. That’s why you can argue “well TJ was this” “Jo was that” “actually it was Ian’s fault”
bl manhwas have such little stories that are somewhat tragic like this. that no matter what ending you go with, there’s still smth bitter about it. So it makes sense that ppl are losing their minds over this lolol we’re not used to it.
I hope that the author doesn’t take all the harassment to heart (though that’s almost impossible to do) they made an amazing story and I think ppl’s reactions are proof of that. Still it’s just a story and there’s no reason to berate the author on a story. Go touch some grass, complain to a friend about it and move on.
I know this story is focused on their kids but their parents have a big influence too (which makes sense) and it’s rlly interesting to see characters who were in the main story go through parenthood
mm i kinda want to give her the benefit of the doubt and say that yes while the other characters don’t act like that, they’re also older. They’re high school students and while hs student still go through shit, she’s in middle school.
middle school is kinda when you find out if you’re spoiled or have any other bad habits. It’s also when you work it out (in a weird chaotic way). So I don’t like her but when I say that, I’m thinking of her as something who’s almost an adult when she’s far from that
tbh if this got a complete rerun, it would be a pretty good story. this is old school japan (maybe 90s) so homophobia was pretty prevalent back then to the point that many ppl just didn’t know about homosexuality. seme is clearly gay, he enjoys being with girls but hates the thought of being intimate with them. yet he is completely fine with being the top with a guy. uke had old school prejudices and probably just didn’t know how homosexuality worked.
to see them properly develop into a couple would be a good story

i love this author already, they know to not spam sex chapters and to instead keep the plot moving WITH fuck buddies. pretty rare, authors usually have them have sex constantly and then magically fall in love with minimal conversation in between.

the drug party in chapters 16-18 made me realize that eastern asian countries have a culture of absolutely despising drugs (drug cases there are considered more serious than most of their sa cases) that we’ve never seen a yaoi couple actually fuck while on drugs and have a non-negative attitude about it.
