Already finished reading the novel, but came back here for the art! I think the manhwa did pretty good at staying true to the story! The next few chapters are gonna be sooooo :3

the ML is pretty consistently a green flag, he’s entirely devoted to and protective of the mc and loves him more than anything else. But there are definitely a LOT of moments that will raise your blood pressure throughout the entire series, mostly relating to the mc’s horrible mother and how she treats him, but thanks to the love and support of the ml he does learn to stand up for himself and stand up against his mother. Overall highly recommend, though I will give you a heads up that things stay strictly shounen ai during the first season and only start to get spicy in the second season, but thankfully for you, you can just binge the whole story at once and not have to wait in between seasons biting your nails
What made my blood pressure rise in this series is the toxic empress.

I couldn’t assign a flag to the ML at this point… he’s mostly good but recently crossed the line a bit IMO. But I have a very low tolerance for typical yaoi tropes so YMMV. They’re only in a FWB relationship at the moment.

I’m at the latest chapter 127, and I feel like I completely forgot the plot lol.
At ch.18 now, I hate how the situation unfold. I guess the author is doing this for the bigger plot, but I’m already angry at how MC is stuck now. And why didn’t ML stop her? And how did MC master calm down so fast?! What the heck, am I the only one feeling that the story is weird?

The manwha is significantly faster than the novel. Like a lot faster. And there are a lot of details left out and some details that are rushed. The novel is so good, it’s a shame.
