I think the manhwa didn't do a very good job at portraying this scene from the novel. When I was reading the novel in this scene, I was crying and screaming (kinda). but the manhwa is kinda bland. I didn't feel the tension, emotions the characters were feeling. Especially him. Actually, this feels like the artist is rushing it
OMG YES SO GLAD SOMEONE SAID IT! There are several smaller details they changed for no reason and make the scenes in the manhwa less inpactful. This whole scene was done so much better in the Novel. And I think even part of the reason so many ppl seem to either hate the FMC or MMC is likely due to the manhwa not being able to capture their suffering individually as well as it did in the novel.
Anyways, I do recommend reading the novel bc I feel like the writing is much better and you get a lot more details into the characters thoughts and feelings.
