Ok so I read some more and... I'm dropping this... She's in college and he is still in middle school. I can't see it as wholesome anymore, if he was in like his last year of high school then maybe because by that point he'd most likely be 18 yo. But if he's still middle school he's a best 14 or 15 and that is just creepy, seriously WTH Japan you have such a knack for taking something that seems wholesome and make so gross.
I do agree, I think 5 years is too much for someone under age. But, I would like to add, they are not in middle school at the end of the first chapter its mentioned that they're highschoolers.

Regardless, the age gap is still creepy as hell.
Okay so I read a bit and while yes, the age gap is iffy to say the least so far it seems kind of wholesome. Not that I condone relationships with large age gaps, unless you are already an adult and thus are free to make your own decisions.
