I do feel bad for gunner in my own way tbh ....he didn't get to grow up and have a normal family which always made him feel inferior and considering how bright he was as a kid it's just sad....plus after knowing theo he never thought about what he wanted to be. All he wanted was to be good enough for theo. But that was the mistake bc that made him go down the wrong path and instead of realising it earlier he remained stubborn. It's just unfortunate bc they could've been so much more
As much as I hate the empress she definitely is a formidable enemy. As for the emperor...he is just selfish and not smart enough so can't wait second prince to replace him
