It's actually nice to see an ML recognize what's wrong with him. You don't see an ML acknowledge his wrong doings and make up for it by respecting the MC's boundaries/decisions. (Yes im glazing Chaeyoo cause most MLs I see are pieces of shits who doesn't know the word respect)
