i haven’t read in a super long time is there noncon?
simple answer: yes
long answer: there’s sex while drunk (to the point he doesn’t know who it is), while delirious from a fever, and attempted during a drug trip. all the “sober” sex/sexual contact is typically in conjunction with things such as physical threats or physical harm (strangulation). none of which is consensual.
is this a green flag relationship/is there noncon?
There is noncon but it was sort of a misunderstanding thing and they sort of talked on it after? But they overall greenflag relationship, especially the top
The context of the relationship itself dorsn'rt quite put noncon on the same level of any other story... characters have been through a lot... And a lot worse, MC has been forced into prostitution as a teen, he's seen a lot.
And yet all this forged an incredibly strong character.
Green flag relationship with the main couple given the context of the entire story line, but I’ve heard people refer to Seong-rok himself as yellow or orange flag. Side couple is an orange flag relationship and starts out extremely red flag
There’s multiple noncon moments. One shows Je-oh being raped as a teenager, one from the miscommunication/misunderstanding, one where he’s raped while he’s an adult (but that incident has SUCH a satisfying resolve), and once with the bottom of the side couple. There’s also a few sexual assault/harassment scenes too
I hear you...but I mean, this ain't quite the fairytale...
Between rape, child abuse, prostitution, murders in front of your eyes, hospital deaths or near to... ain't for the fainthearted... Yet I do feel seong Rok is the greenest of flags in there...given the context ofc.
He did force himself on jeoh once, but then jeoh is more pissed off than traumatised, too many traumas to make it an issue...
