Guys how about writing another billion comments about Jin after every chapter, there's clearly not enough of them.
and it doesn't matter that he hasn't been mc for the last ~30+ chapters and there are a lot of other interesting characters and storylines, that the connection beetween them is what truly makes this story so different
Like no, don't care, need another portion of copy paste Jin comments, that's clearly gonna change everything
Omg, I don't like Charin the most too and I don't even understand why he pissed me of so bad. Like I was so mad that manhwa with such interesting concept, world building, plot has such unbearably annoying character and storyline for me. But then I discovered that there will be other seasons about diff characters that I actually liked and Jin wouldn't be mc anymore so i gave it another chance.
But don't read next thing if you don't want spoilers!!
The bad news are that our worst fear is real Charin is absolutely getting revived at the end of this season.
I mean the green haired guy returned to his cage and he was no longer there, like it was broken from the inside and that was the end of the season.
But I'm still gonna endure it for other characters though, I'm just happy to find out that I'm not the only one who doesn't like Jin Charin couple
Twin same, the only reason why I've come so far is bc charin was axed off. Also, I'm crine at the spoiler, this is the reason why good things never happen
I personally don't dislike jin, I can tolerate him but the same can't be said for charin. For one his personality absolutely pisses me off, I have never liked how he treated jin + secondly his apologizers and dickriders. The way ppl will defend this guy like he raised them into adulthood is crazy, I don't deny that he's a complex character but everyone gives that excuse so that they can fully victimize and justify him. Yes, he was raped and assaulted by that mf and he didn't deserve that but it doesn't mean, the actions he inflicted can be forgotten like they didn't even happen. Ppl be acting he's the virgin mary lmfao. Ofc when I speak my truth, ppl literally tell me to kms, sorry honey but that's just gonna make me hate your favourite character more
It's the difference in how people treat and hypocrisy in Tehir vs Charin and in general Tehir/Kimoto vs Jin/Charin for me.
Like Tehir and Charin are basically half brothers from the same dad and diff artificial wombs, but with same insecurity problems.
Both of them are trying to be leaders, are insecure and selfish. But the experience Tehir went through is just incomparable to Charin's, like he spent his formative youth years not only completely paralysed but also not being able to even see, hear anything, like anyone would go and insane, so i don't get why people are being so mad for him just being obsessed with revenge to the one who did that to him or having problems with social skills.
Charin on the other hand also had a very traumatic experience, but he also had dog Jin and the whole the whole group of people who gave up everything for him, and all he did was just just bullying, being miserable and betraying them out of his own insecurity. Like he made Jin go dumb just because he was jealous like that and lead his whole gang to straight up death, like hello??
Tehir was also a hateful narcissist in his kindergarden, but first of all he was a child back then, while Charin was grown ahhh and still did all that to his friends. And also even with superiority complex and insecurities Tehir still wanted to be a good leader and took care of his "followers", unlike Charin. He despised Kimoto on inside, but still comforted and helped him while he was on his lowest
I also don't really hate Jin that much, it's just where is Jin there's Charin yk. And the dynamic imo Jin Charin for me is way more toxic, cause Jin literally lobotomized himself and was a dog without any wishes or thoughts and Charin still did nothing but bullied him and was jealous. In Tehir/Kimoto at least both are kinda same level of toxic and match eachother freak
Also even if not counting my personal dislike towards Charin, bringing him back to life like that kinda makes this complicated, ruthless world building (that author is clearly very good and talented with) feel a lil fake and the stakes feel less real now. People say that everything is so unpredictable here, but actually author is playing safe with all main characters and couples, like no matter what is happening to them they still come back with no "real" loss for now
But I also feel that original annoyance I felt with Charin was because we were given like original story with this charismatic powerful bottom at first (I probably can't explain it properly), but it's like in "wet sand" situation. When such an interesting and nit standard bottom from the outside gets in the most oblivious cliche troupes and situation and acts same to the stereotypical yaoi bottoms just with a lil "spice" and all his coolness is just fake. (And I was probably mad that such creative, different, talented, crazy story "betrayed" me in this way)
Like ml bottom being abducted and graped by the villain and mc got to save him type of shit. so I was surprised and engaged when duch a cliché thing turted into real death and loss. but the moment the green haired guy put him in a jar I understood that's no, he's absolutely not living us and unfortunately I was right
Also here in comments once was link on the interview with author and she was asked is she maybe planning and wishing some diff type stories in future and she said like no absolutely not like she doesn't know how and doesn't want to write women characters. I mean there's nothing wrong with creating , preferring and enjoying bl stuff, but her answer was so definite that for a moment it felt kinda weird ngl
Thanks if you read this all, I guess I typed too much, but I finally found a person with same opinion about this manhwa, so I just got to do it
Twin I completely agree with your points here as well, I missed out on the parallels between the double standards ppl set up with tehir and charin. This just goes to show that, our hate for these characters are only reinforced by the fandom's own blind simping
As for the author...I think it's pretty clear they don't know what they're doing atp anymore, it seems like they just wanna be done with this project and the reason for charin's revival is probably due to pressure from the fanbase or their management and production team
I'm so glad to read your opinions on charin, thank you for sharing <3
Chuljin is number 1 toxic evil bottom for me. Also I looove how he's not like typical loud controlling tyrant or something, but rather really realistically portrayed charismatic, shady, manipulative and passive aggressive person. I like how we can always see him carefully testing the water, observing through small things and gestures.
I also think he mostly acts like that not to lie and trick, but because of his past where he comes from problematic background and had to take care of all his siblings since very young age, so he probably really early developed that observer people-pleaser qualities. And that combined with lower empathy makes him such person that always devides outside performance and inside feelings
And Minwoo despite trying to hide things always fails and is easy to read. But overtime he gets really confused of Chuljin being impossible to really read and giving mixed signals all the time, so he stops understanding where Chuljin is being sincere and where he isn't.
And probably after a few shady situations he just decides that all this time he was the only one, who was in love, while Chuljin was just playing around. Cause when he loves he's sincere and open and Chuljin never truly was, so he decided that everything was a lie.
But in reality I think that Chuljin just really was like that from extremely young age and having feelings towards Minwoo didn't magically make him act normal and open. mostly because his self-control and "outside acting" are just way too powerful
Hi. So I read another comment from you somewhat explaining the rest of season 4. I was trying to read the raw but cannot understand well due to the language barrier. Maybe somehow you could help me understand why Minwoo was begging Chuljin to come back to him and confess everything all of a sudden? I thought it would have some big secrets revealed to clear the misunderstanding but the forgiveness just came out of nowhere. Also we saw Chuljin actually having sex with someone else but when Minwoo found out, Chuljin is the one who is angry at him??? Im going to hell to find out what is going on !!
So the main reason why Minwoo hated Chuljin so much imo was never anything that Chuljin actually had done, but rather Minwoo hating himself for spending so much time, effort and feelings on love he found one-sided, where he was a complete fool, while Chuljin was never sincere or genuine and just used him from the start.
So when Chuljin came back Minwoo was extremely angry and decided to play mad, partially as a defence method to avoid being used by Chuljin one more time. But when he finally found out the size of the game Chuljin was playing to get back to him - his world completely changed. Like Chuljin was stalking him through multiple people he found on the gay dating app, in fact he had this app only with one single purpose - information about Minwoo (while Minwoo thought the he was just a whore or something), the relationship between the second couple where basically built by Chuljin too to avoid Minwoo to be with Norman, also now that Chuljin now is rich and famous, so there was no need for all that and multiple other things.
After discovering that Minwoo understood that you won't do all that just to make fun of someone and that Chuljin was deeply obsessed with him this entire time. His problem was never anything morally bad, that Chuljin had done (like Minwoo isn't really a fair player himself and the fact that he got all his techniques from copying Chuljin too), but rather the thought of Chuljin being indifferent to him.
That realisation was too overwhelming for him, so he finally threw away his "mad" defence mask and he also regressed in a way, falling one more time and even harder for Chuljin. So after all that he wasn't even giving a smallest shit about Chuljin sleeping with someone else because he knew that all this time Chuljin was obsessed with him only
And Chuljin was angry in the end because he was so sure about him completely controlling Minwoo and basically reading Minwoo like an open book, that he never expected such a thing from him especially after Minwoo crying for him on knees.
But that was actually Chuljin's brother, who leaked the vid of Chuljin having sex with the other guy and Minwoo just took a blame to save Chuljin's relationship with his family (but that was kinda stupid ngl and feels a little like drama just for the sake of drama).
So in the end Chuljin was right about feeling like he completely controlled Minwoo and there're some massive problems inside Chuljin's family (like poverty and his brother hating him) that we're not yet aware of
Omg thank you. How come I completely missed the revelation that Chuljin is actually stalking Minwoo this whole time!!! Their relationship is a mess with too many misunderstandings but they love each other deeply so I can't wait for season 5 (but kinda hope ss5 is the final one cause this story has been dragged out for so long and I seriously cannot wait for another year). By any chance you know when can we have ss5? Ss4 ended 2025 October and now it's June 2026 already
As far as I remember in the beginning of the spring author said on twitter that she would be absent for 8 more months cause of wrist injury or something, so season 5 should be in the end of 2026.
I also hope it would be the last one, cause dragging the drama would really ruin their dynamic for me. But like their whole relationship is balancing on like this very complex dynamic and that could be easily ruined and turned into another boring cliche if done wrong, but so far author has been really good and consistent with them and other pairs, so I trust the process
Whattttt??? 8 months!!! I should have wait before re-reading this again T_T. I was obsessed with the story from the beginning (in 2021) and gave up mid way due to the long ass waiting. Accidentally picked it up again cause I thought it must have ended long ago. Turn out 200+ chapters and still have to waittt. ARGGG!!!
Samee, I was devastated when I found out that there'll be one more season. but like right now that we have some time at least I hope english translation will catch up, because there won't korean raws uploader anymore
