Let’s be fr, you don’t go on having a boyfriend just to be all formal or proper. When you feel safe, you can either be childish or go maternal even towards your friends. But bruh? That’s her man?? What’s so wrong about that. Plus she’s literally injured and maliciously targeted? Who wouldn’t want to cry and whine to their safe place?
And what about her age and supposed persona in relation to her career? SHE’S GODDAMN 20+! People act free and unpretentious the most in those years, you grow the most as a person during this stage. And it’s not even a cringe type of cutesy.
Atp i don’t know if people lack enough social exposure to know variety of people, or if the times have made them so narrow minded that they immediately nitpick everything because of their lack of identifying themselves in others (not me = they’re weird) leading to immediate public crucification Σ( ̄□ ̄||)
I agree with you. I think it's a pretty normal response that when you feel safe with someone, especially your partner (or even close friends and fam), you let your guard down and show a side that no one else really gets to see. From what I can see, Shuyi feels emotionally safe with Shiyan, and in her case it translates into her acting really cutesy. (˶ᵔ▽ᵔ˶) I honestly feel like thats part of her charm and it's a pretty common relationship dynamic. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
And its so truee that when you're in your 20s, that's when you start tapping into your whimsy and inner child cause you realize that life really isn't supposed to be that serious. (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)ノ ‹

I thought she was serena at first Σ( ̄□ ̄||) the diversity in the faces are becoming smaller
