Seriously, it's disgusting! And don't get me wrong, I like toxic complex stories, but rape is not the only plot device! Toxicity can be explored in so many different ways, and rape is just such a cheap pathetic way, it exposes poor writing skills! Seriously, it's like an easy money, as rape gives both, angst and smut, and that's what people care about only, no matter the context! I'm reading BL for over 20 years and the lack of sensitivity in people, even in fiction, terrifies me! I guess these rape defenders are in majority minors or immatures, either way... of course it's fiction, but it's not only fiction when it affects the way people portray such topics!
Yes!! i love those bls where it's got like a little toxicity or idk how to describe it but maybe like dark "romance" where rape isn't really a thing involved which is so much better..idk why people nowadays think it's ok to like rape. They're basically romanticizing and fetishizing it. It's honestly sad
