Honestly I have mixed feelings like on one hand I think Minchan and Bihwan are so cute and what bihwan said to minchan in Ch. 79 almost made me cry, but also it’s just like… how can you forget someone you loved and waited for for 1000 years (Idk I forgot the exact number—BUT a LONG time) I mean I know he’s not exactly over him or anything or forgot abt him BUT ALSO likeeeee IDKK GUYS I have such mixed thoughts bc it’s like I feel like howww HOWW would omg. All I’m saying is that if this were a story where the main characters were Bihwan and Kim Seoho I would feel so betrayed that Bihwan is in love with Minchan now BC ITS LIKE HOW DO YOU KOVE ON FRIM A GUY YOUVE KNOW FOR THAT LONG AND BEEN IN LOVE WITH AND WAITED FOR like no I don’t get it. And if I were Minchan I’d be so insecure, I’d be like… how am I supposed to compete with that??? Also Bihwan lit said Minchan is so different from Kim Soheo and stuff which is like cute but that just solidifies even more that he’s over Kim seoho like that but my whole point is like how is he over him like that for someone he met like a year ago
I get what you mean but I on the other hand really like this take. In so many other reincarnation stories where one is immortal and the other is just reborn again, it's as if the life they lived and memories they had are insignificant and they just become the same person they were in the past life.Minchan was his own soul and being before it was forcefully used as a vessel to bring back the dead. Having Minchan fully become Soheo would basically erase Minchan because he was always meant to be his own person. However, it seems clear that Kim Soheo will not be able to come back and it doesn't seem like he'd appreciate it at the cost of someone else's life. He already pick Bihwan over himself (in the lake thing) so it's clear that they deeply love each other. I think Bihwan would take that as closure. Bihwan wasn't only in love with Soheo while he was trapped but he also came to absolutely despise him. It was a mix of the two that clearly damaged his personality and mental health, I mean look at how much he changed from the first episode! Also Minchan was definitely already insecure Bihwan never saw him as just Minchan until late last season. Personally, I think that Bihwan should be allowed to fall in love again. Soheo made his choice when he destroyed his soul to save him and he knew that Bihwan would most likely be stuck there for a long time. I don't think it's fair to Bihwan to stay stuck in a cycle of hate and love for all eternity mourning for a Soheo that will never be the same. Still I get what you mean since this a romance manhwa, it's rare to see people that were genuinely in love where one dies and the other moves on. But I think it's necessary, Bihwan shouldn't have to live in solitude and pain for all eternity, I don't think Soheo sacrificed himself for Bihwan to live like that. I even believe he orchestrated it in a way to make Bihwan hate him. Lwk just wanted to let you know how I view the story, maybe it'll change your mixed feelings a lil bit
I think that the connection we've seen with Bihwan and Seoho is not in the same level as Minchan and Bihwan. I don't feel like Seoho loved Bihwan the way Bihwan loved him. It was very one sided and I feel like Seoho only loved Bihwan in a more platonic way. That's why Seoho was willing to let him go and all of that.
Seoho was very independent and wasn't really thinking of what Bihwan would want. He made decisions for him and that's not right. I makes sense why, but it still caused Bihwan 1000 years of suffering. That's harsh and cruel.
Whereas Minchan has explicitly been stating his feelings and his wants. Bihwan learned to love him because they both are very broken individuals and can bring that support they each need.
Seoho never was that for Bihwan. BH deserves better.

You got some great responses already, but I want to add, that it absolutely does break Bihwan’s heart that he did fall in love in Minchan and knew that means he never ”gets Seoho back”. Minchan understands this and confronts him. They are both broken and that is why they can feel each other so deeply. THAT is the other point. Seoho and Bihwan are like opposites but Bihwan and Minchan are more alike. Seoho was perfect in Bihwan’s mind (at least it seems like so because even after 1000 or so years he couldn’t figure him out). Minchan is everything but perfect, but Minchan’s charm just blew Bihwan’s mind. They understand each other and think at the same level. They are both quite dumb and stubborn. It makes sense Bihwan would fall in love. It makes sense he still also loves Seoho. And Seoho gave him an answer already as well; he wants Bihwan to face reality right now and live and find happiness.
