They also yell at each other every chapter and the main character is ""straight"" (yechan's version of straight) and romantically, the slow burn BURNSS and when it falls into place oh it hits hard, it's way more subtle and nuanced than might appear. The more I think about it the more similarities I see to this, and it makes sense why I love both. Similar warnings in that the sex is questionably dubious at times similar to these two idiots, but the power dynamic feels equal and MC can absolutely hold his own

Maybe the reason Seokjun slips past Chani's misandry barriers is because he feels more matriarchal than patriarchal? He doesn't posture and exert himself in a macho way like other men often do, he's sensitive and cries a lot and he's empathetic. He feels more maternal and maybe that's why Yechan likes him <3 (I feel u yechan, I don't like controlling guys either)
