I feel like this demon isn't Sebastian. When I looked at their sigils, I did see they were nearly identical, excluding the outer rings, rotation, and placement. Which made me lean towards it being Sebastian, But seeing this demon's personality.. It just doesn't feel like Sebastian.
Also, Idt we rlly know how demon sigils work in this universe? Like maybe the outer ring being different does mean it's an entirely different demon.. but idk T_T
what is his personality like according to you? he's playing a butler so he chooses to be more elegant, but the rest of his nature remains the same. don't you remember how viciously he killed all those people in the witch arc cuz ciel just told him to have fun or something? also its known that he used to be a lot more messy back then which is what we're seeing here (its like the 1400s) cuz he took the souls of others as well who didnt have a contract with him and also never actually told lady anna that he's made a contract with her so thats a lot different to how he does things now (more consentual????)
No I did forget that. I guess I was just excited at the possibility that we were getting a new demon that I forgot how messy he can be :P I've just gotten so used to his butler character lul

sebastian has a personality. if you can't see that then that's just really sad tbh, the story is more enjoyable if you pick up on how spirited sebastian is. the witch arc involved people who were creating chemical weapons and wanted to kill 2 children... he had fun serving up what was served to him and ciel (when they were gassed in the forest), esp when he gassed sieglinde's mother. we also don't know how long a "long time" is for sebastian but he said it's been a long time since he's gotten bored of eating random souls. we don't know when modri is from but if he's alive right now OR a bizarre doll, he has to be from around this era. this demon neither has sebastian's personality (sebastian has likes/dislikes & sense of justice) nor does it seem to be the right time to be the sebastian that used to be vicious/uncaring about the quality of souls.
i doubt it, since in the cover for chapter 225 where sebas's image is ripped into his many "forms", we see that his hair is white and pulled back into the low ponytail the demon took the form of at the ball. i'm almost 100% it's sebastian and he just doesn't remember any of it because either 1. he didn't make a contract with vladis, 2. it was just so long ago and he's upset a lot of people in his life so he don't gaf, or 3. the exorcist gave him some kind of selective amnesia with that attack
