Grayson might be an idiot ( well, he is one^^), but think about it.
Grayson is a born manifested, he releases much more pheromones than a normal dominant alpha. And they actually need omegas to take care of it ( injections are no ideal). So he thought his fated pair would be an omega.
Dane is a dominant omega, actually the perfect match for someone like Grayson.
The problem: Grayson thinks he is a beta, because dominant omegas can controle their pheromones and hide as betas, even when tested the result would be beta.
And Dane doesn't exactly look like an regular omega.
Well, at least in Garyson case the lower head is already on it, the upper head is still lagging behind but will soon get it, too.lol
