so everyone knows by now that the top dies and its kinda stuipd and not very well explained in the manhwa. so the top scarifies himself so spring can come...? see what i mean by kinda stupid he dies so the bottom can see spring and everyone else bla bla bla basically LEAVES HIM ALL ALONE poor guy spends ten days holding his corps but before dying he tells him even tho ill like only in your memories ill come back as a petal. the bottom spends his time alone sees the petal on his hand and starts hallucinating that he came back then pretty sure he dies from broken heart syndrome. the end
ok never mind, i actually read it and it’s still confusing—but OK, REAL EXPLANATION HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so top has powers to bring spring, and i think every time he uses them he becomes weaker, but he also grows really fast, so…? yeah, he actually escaped his village because he hates them, then, as you know, started living with mister bottom. one day, this guy comes looking for him and tells bottom, “so you’re the one who stole our spring??” bottom gets beat up badly, and then top takes him back to his village because he has no other choice.
there, the chief of the village explains that top has powers—he can mainly bring spring, but he can also make things grow and come to life. as we can see, everything is covered in snow and people are dying because of it, which is why they need top to bring spring. bottom confronts top, and top tells him he doesn’t care about those people—they’re basically using him and only need him for his powers. and he only needs bottom, bla bla bla. they break down, then plan to go back home. top tells bottom to go ahead and that he’ll meet him there because he has some stuff to do before they can live happily ever after. when bottom arrives at their home, top isn’t there yet, so he says okay, i’ll go pick him up so we can go together.
when he goes back to the village, it’s suddenly really hot—mind you, it was snowing just a few minutes ago, so he was wearing a coat and everything. once he looks around, he sees the village is completely empty, like there’s no one there. then he notices some kind of church, i believe, so he goes inside. there are candles and flowers everywhere. it feels gloomy, but he assumes it’s just because it’s dark. he goes further in and sees top lying on the altar, wearing a white shirt and pants, covered in blood. he thinks it’s a joke and asks him why he did that, and top tells him, “i wanted you to see spring.” bottom is still confused—top doesn’t give him a straight answer, just says that even though he won’t be there, he hopes he’ll live on in bottom’s memory. then he tells him he’ll come back to him as a petal, says “see you soon,” and dies.
after that, the chief enters and tells him, “my boy, it’s been 10 days—10 days you’ve been here. you need to go home.” but bottom still doesn’t understand, so he says he’ll take top with him in any form.
fast forward a couple of months—or maybe years, i don’t know. you can only tell time passed because his hair is in a bun, so it grew. he’s still crying, saying he misses him, but he knows he’s not coming back. a few… days? weeks? later, he’s on the floor, clearly on death’s door. he looks awful. then he notices a petal on his hand, and he sees top and says, “you finally came back.” pretty sure he’s dreaming or hallucinating. but in the end, he dies alone on the floor—probably from a broken heart.
