It's pretty damn obvious that Kang Jun, the mc, is the complete opposite of an empath.
That's why it's so hard to like this guy, he only helps people out of pity/sympathy to feed his own ego.
And then we got Yohan, Idk abt the novel but I feel like this guy got into an accident that messed up his brain or smth. I genuinely believe that his family doesn't just dislike him bc he's gay, but maybe for a darker reason.
