I liked the main couple and LOVED the communication. I hate how rape is super common in yaoi so seeing the ML stop when it seemed like the MC wasn’t into it was wonderful (even tho it should be the bare minimum). That being said fuck the brother. But also I didn’t like the arc of him being raped in return. Like yeah he raped the MC but I just hate that trope of being like oooh look your body likes it. I had to skip it cause it made me feel sick. Overall loved the main story tho. And that the MC and ML talk so much instead of just getting it on all the time.
Ok but the point of the rape scene and ye-geum reacting WAS to show that the body doesn’t always reflect the mind. it wasn’t a justification, it was a very good example at how complex sexual assault can be. In the side stories Jooin addressed this exact thing, that even if ye-geum’s body reacted, all that matters is how he feels. It was sexual assault for the sake of the trope, it was a very serious and accurate look into how a victim may process the event and trauma. To dumb it down to just “the sexual assault trope” implies that the author added it to be sexually gratifying and enjoyable, when it was obvious that the exact opposite is true.

They’re so cute and sweet. I love how healthy their relationship was and the communication and this was so darn cute. This has got to be one of my favorite stories because it’s just so heartwarming. I wish more stories were like this.
