So I just started this and I have to say that I am not bothered by the 10 year gap at all. The only thing that does not sit with me is that ML is 20 but this is a Korean manhwa, so he's literally just 18 internationally. And even if that fact also applies with FL, she's still 28. And I don't know how to feel with any romance between a 28-year-old and an 18-year-old, no matter which gender is older I would've dropped this but everyone is saying positive only things about this manhwa and I really wanna read it. So for the sake of my sanity, ML is 25 and he's in college not highschool

They should have done like this thing that manhwas do: where they're like do lore explanation through telling the legend and smth like that

Ok, so in this chapter they had a scout party make sure it was clear for them to travel away from the main party. He made a lewd joke and she said let me down, so he does. Then assassins. He sends his bodyguard away with her from the fray. She was wide open and someone was attacking her, but she didn't try to run or anything. (In the novel he speeds over using his death thing and kills anyone in his way). Emperor is pissed at scouting party because... Assassins were there. He's mad at his bodyguard cuz he left her open, but he's a good bodyguard, so he gives him another chance. For her, he had to use his death thing to bring her back, because she died, stabbed pretty much in the heart. He's mad cuz she didn't fight to live.
It's not just in this chapter that I am confused though, it's everything. I have so many unanswered questions. Like what happened to that witch? What did the witch get out of that curse? Why do it in the first place? What was that first emperor's intention of making the witch curse FL? What is that black string of fate ML has? How did he get it? Just because he was born in that auspicious day? Why was that day considered bad luck? Is his curse somewhat related to the FL's curse? How can he manipulate the black thread like how he tied it to FL? Can he do other things with it? Why does that black thread take on that ghoulish form sometimes? Is it really capable of doing that? Or was it just ML's imagination? Did it really devour that other emperor's soul? Or was that just part of the imagery too? Who sent the assassins trying to kill them? Why target the FL? How the hell did the FL survive that chest stab wound? Will she also not die even if she's the one that sustained fatal injuries? I thought that only applies to when her husband is the one injured? And why the hell did ML stab himself knowing that FL gets the same injuries her husbands get? He said to reverse the curse or whatever? Was that way mentioned before? Did I skip something? Lol. I don't know if the storyline is just rushed or I got lost in translation but I feel like I need more background on everything
With how much questions I have and how confused I am, I think I need to read the novel to truly understand the lore. Where can I read it through? And does the novel have the same title as this one?

This manhwa felt like a fever dream. The pacing and the plot was all over the place and sometimes I didn't even know how the story got there but it was one heck of a ride. It was funny too, and that saved this read for me. I would've dropped if it wasn't hilarious here and there. Also, protect Shinae and Chanhae at all costs. The two of them are so precious

Babe, considering going back to your two-timing, good-for-nothing ex-boyfriend just for a loan is an all time low. I can try to understand it if the cheating was the first stain on your relationship but he was trash all along and has no redeeming qualities whatsoever.
