Reason this reason that they were neglecting her from the start, it doesn’t matter how terrible she was she was still being abused and neglected even trying to commit suicide. If they prevented it and did something about the abuse maybe she would’ve turned out as she is now
Green hair boy tried to get along with her at first but had an argument with her (more like her to him)that really hurt his pride and his feelings by making a really offensive obvious comment. Because he was young and a gentleman he did what he taught was best to let it go and ignore what causes him problems ..I mean I would too. THE grandfather he Is kind but he was raised to be strict. He is the type of person that IF YOU DONT SPEAK UP YOUR ADMITTING THAT YOUR WRONG he always asked but she kept quiet so he didn't know he just assumed she was an aggressive child. But if you do speak up he is willing to listen and even go as far as to put his name on the line..the blond boy he doesn't have a back up story onto why he ignore her... but in the end they were all very logical
