Due to it's infamy, I was shy about reading this. But it's a must read imo. Gonna try keeping it spoiler free but be warned. It's a review.

Avoid it if you don't like extremely controversial relationships where two people become toxic and obsessive because of the consequences of their actions driving a rift between them.
It's blatantly not bothered by the uncomfortableness it presents. My favorite theme is how excessive love and devotion can easily become obsession and suffocate the person receiving into hatred, even self-hatred for allowing it to happen. Seeing the downright rage inducing actions of Wilhelm while idolizing Reinhardt and Reinhardt trying to keep herself in one piece but failing time and time again was enthralling to say the least. Their relationship with the children was executed almost perfectly. Putting their innocence next to the circumstances of their conception creates a juxtaposition that pierces the eye and hurts the mind reading it.

The resolution of the tension was fast and leaves much to desire but is the nature of serializations. I would've preferred to see the results of 6-7 years of angst that was between them reflected on the relationship they grow after reconciliation. The children showed it much more. But I also understand their personality is such that sweeps ugly things under the rug until they become nightmares or are forgotten. They focus on being happy after all that and it makes me happy so see them mending the wounds of their mistakes.

It's indeed not your typical otome Isekai and believe me I've read hundreds.

Main character is the building stonenof this story, rest is mostly one dimensional cardboard cutouts intentionally so I will only focus on her. She had a horrible life before and after reincarnation :,( pour one out for her Korean self. This shapes her to be a ,somewhat cynical at times, skeptical no-nonsense emotional survival expert. She needs nobody and is sure of herself but all of her strength becomes her weakness at times. It's a great way to write character flaws imo. Her independence saves her more than a couple of times but it also gets her in trouble because she doesn't think of asking for help at times. Her desire to live makes her struggle and never give up but that way she empowers that desire becomes her weakness and makes her give up. Her strong will makes her believe fully in herself with great return but it also causes her to believe in lies and falsehoods strongly too.
