Well, I chose to hate the author. If the author wanted to make rashta bad from the start, then just don’t show her miserable life and give her that kind of ending. But no… the author showed how sad rashta’s life was, only to make her die in prison, separated from her children like that.
I mean, yeah, rashta had been miserable since she was a child. She was sold into slavery, fell in love with her master’s son, only to have her baby taken away from her and then get nearly killed. Later, she met an emperor who loved her, so of course she took the opportunity. But the author just made her miserable until the very end instead of giving her a better ending, like letting her leave with her children and live happily somewhere far away, while navier (empress) was already living happily too
