When I first started this I felt real good about this alright but now I don't wish to compare but I just came off reading the things that deserve to die and they both feature similar tropes but there the chemistry and plot progresses quite naturally the attraction is present and the smut unlike here oozes chemistry and tension.
There hasn't been much going on here since the new season started so I will keep this on the back burner but seriously man

The kingdom you live in is in the midst of a civil war and anyone no matter the class or race is being taken away due to a special act by the imperial family.Your father goes away one fine day only for him to run late.The door opens and it’s the inspector.you know that the worst has realised but you also know any sign of weakness can turn this situation a 1000x worse so you try the best to seem calm for you have a mother and twins-a sister and brother who are infants to think of not just yourself.Before you come up with a plan someone comes forward and it’s the archduke.The one who proposed this law and is the forefront of this movement.He looks you all up and down and presents a choice you or your mother to be his newly wedded wife to get your father released but the twins are still feeding so your mother hesitates just a bit to allow you to step forward and a quick reminder that the difference of age between you and the archduke is much larger than your mother.Whatever must you do to save your father and your family

I kinda really have the urge to follow up on my ideas to write a novel preferably if you could suggest how where I could write it and if people would be interested in reading it.
The main plot goes smth like this
MC is a widow.Her marriage wasn't a happy one she is in her late 20s-early 30s with a son from the husbands previous marriage ready to take on the duties of the head as she was acting like one in his stead.On encouragement from the son and other members of the house she finally decides to go to the 9 day masquerade held each year after the courting season wherein every commoner and noble is allowed to enter but not disclose their identity
This is held to pair up people who weren't courted/are too old/commoners to enjoy a festival and nobles to let go of all the tight norms they usually uphold.
Therein she meets the ml who doesn't know her but is attracted to her wit charm and her innate beauty of a character
And sets off to find her but she is still not healed from scars of the past.
This is the general idea,is it good?if so where can I write it?would anyone want to read it?
Maybe Wattpad? I remember my friends writing stories there but idk the state of it now. Also story sounds right up my alley so imo it's good, esp with the right execution. Tbh just write it regardless of what people think or whether you'll share it or not. Writing's so fun is what I somehow just recently found out lol

This is giving a manhwa vibes but you can write it on Wattpad. In ao3 you can write it too but it's mostly for the fandom...as I haven't read one orginal character story in ao3 so yeah Wattpad is better.
