That's all true, but considering Renji's character, it's honestly quite understandable as to why he'd act like that. It shows us that Renji is scared, afraid even, to lose Sakuma. Hence why he was mad and hurt Sakuma, as an act to let out his frustrations. Renji must've been seriously hurting inside with this new found truth as well as worried. Sakuma could see that, that's why he comforted him. Though, this is all just an assumption of mine, I'm sure later on Renji will have some positive character development and you should stick around to see it, because ups and downs of stories such like these are fated to occur. I don't think you should drop this manga just because of some bad turns that got you feeling the Ick. I mean, notice how this manga has got you feeling, are hoping for Renji to change? As I said, perhaps you should stick around to see!
My absolute favorite trope is shorter top and taller/bigger bottom, and the main couple was really cute. But the second couple holy hell… that was not a grown man, he looked to be like 12 years old
