The story doesn't deserve the hate it gets. It's a lighthearted and simple series with cute cats. People's expectations are just impossibly high because of the author's pervious work (which is peak) and went into this with unrealistic expectations. Its plot is pretty simple with more focus on cute cats so if you like cats then I'd recommend it.

All in all, this is my personal opinion. You shouldn't focus too much on the reviews and try to read it yourself and see if you like it. Try to go in with the idea that it's a simple light hearted and short story. (the ending is abrupt, unfortunately) If you dislike it in the end then my apologies...

Lol I didn't come back for a bit bc sof sum irl stuff to answer but yeah basically what tsu said, heatstroke/another cat story lmao is good to but I didn't really read the novel so idk what's happen lmao but their dynamic at the start is just some pull(mc) and push(ml), plus sum 2nd lead syndrome with a bird shifter I think it was, specifically a raven, and then conflict happens/ml is revelaned to be a shifter too,(Mc thought he was human bcs he wanted to impreggo him) so it switches from what is aid to yk, but Mc said that he had a dream where he returned o his clan with a child but he was older in the dream so I think they'll resolve their issues (Mc needs a kid and ml possessiveness issues and we'll yk MLS problem is, yk)
