But still in that Dangerous situation how could u leave a girl unattended and go to another one thinking that she will be fine. And more than that asking others after that if anyone located her without going to search himself knowing he was the last person she was with when the wyvern took her away.nah even with the redemption arc i still think its a little bad.
yes ik he did leave thalia unattended, but he could not control that. to put it very simply without spoilers, his individual thoughts/feelings were overriden b/c he was physically forced to leave thalia. like he completely lost control of his body.
i think he only asked if anyone located her b/c the wvyren attack had JUST ended, and he was still stuck trying to protect the twins and such. when edric demands to search for thalia and even tho gareth orders them not to, varkas goes against his orders/argues w him and then searches for thalia with edric and their search party.
lol ik it looks like varkas is really fucked up but with time itll get better if ones patient enough
