I’m happy that they decided to keep her dark skin tone since it is such a significant detail and I feel like in manga and etc there needs to be more representation of darker skin tones/races. Instead of changing her skin color, I feel like that it should be embraced and show her growth of self acceptance and confidence. I am aware of the racism in Asian culture and sadly it shows in Manga and other things.
