Can we just stop blaming both the leads and blame the person who actually is at fault? If I were in the ML’s shoes, I would definitely want the person who made me blind to want to die too. And if my life or my parents were involved, I would definitely do the same as what the FL did. And the thing is neither of the leads are getting away with their actions, so we just have to wait and see how the story unfolds.
yea honestly this is just a tragic story of two people going through horrible things, you can be angry with them for their actions but at the end of the day they had their own circumstances. Honestly I do think it’s kind of stupid tho that no one knows what Rose’s real hair color was even with that bonnet you could surely be able to tell
it contains a lil spoiler tho

even from the beginning of the manhwa, you can tell that the nanny couldn't differentiate the color of rose's hair. i think it was from the nanny that the ml got to know that rose had red hair and the nanny died in the novel (obv because of his freak ass brother). after her death i think it was polina? or his comrade? who told him about her actual hair color and that's when he found out that the nanny was kinda colorblind / couldn't differentiate between colors because of her old age. and honestly, it's quite confusing. as you said, it's stupid lol. like, he was madly searching for a red-haired, green eyed lady, but no one from his household (the people who had been working with her) told him about her actual appearance?? maybe i missed some parts but yea it's honestly stupid
yea ive read the novel, actually it started with the granny saying telling rose that she has red hair so she can’t have been the one who poisoned the ml. Then rose realized that she can lie about her hair color and told the ml that her hair is red. No one really questioned it because they weren’t paying attention to this and the ml never asked anyone else about rose’s description since he didn’t doubt her or think that she would lie to him
I'm currently 19 gonna be 20 and I'm in an idk relationship crisis? My current bf is the first ever person I've been in a relationship with, so let me just share my experience because it's really new to me.
He keeps on talking about 18+ stuff even though he knows I'm uncomfortable. I mean, I do read smut manhwa, but talking about it feels gross?? And when I say I hate it, he says stuff like "If I don't talk like this to my gf, who else am I supposed to talk to about it?" kind of stuff. He would randomly ask me to send my ughh stuff?? And when I tell him I'm uncomfortable he jokes around about it, but then proceeds to ask again after a week or two. But apart from this he actually supports me a lot.
Lately though I just feel like I should distance myself from him because he was actually 18 and faked being 20. Mind you he admitted that on his 18th birthday, and I realized I had been dating a minor all along. (Y'all can hate me for this lol.) We met online, so idk... he might even be hiding things about his past relationships too. He told me I was his 2nd but after finding out he lied about his age I don't even know what to believe anymore. And when he was 17 he used to say some bs like, "I love how innocent you are." I wish I could've said "Bitvh, you're 17"
There are definitely positive sides to him and negative ones as well. But I just can't be in a relationship knowing he's been deceiving me and stuff. And since this is my first relationship, I really don't want to break up either.
Please help.
I definitely agree with you. You should leave him. Never take/share any of your private pics to anyone.. He should really take the hint and consider your feelings being uncomfortable about doing any sexual things. Him lying about age was already a huge problem. Confront and block, or even better, just straightforward block him
He is not respecting your boundaries about 18+ stuff, and that is a red flag. Also, if he thought it was okay to lie to you about his age for so long, he will think it is okay to lie about other things. You should probably leave him—there are better people out there for you and you should not have to settle.
sounds like you're communicating your boundaries and he's not respecting them (about talking/asking for sexual stuff). That's just not okay. I'd try to be firmer in my boundaries, and give a consequence if he crosses it (sounds like giving a 'punishment' to a child, but honestly a boundary without a consequence is too easy to ignore for some people).
About the age thing, I really wouldn't have liked that my partner would like about something like that. It makes it difficult to know what else he could lie about. His reasoning might explain it in a way I could accept, but I'd have a serious conversation that his actions (lying and crossing boundaries) is making you lose trust in him and the relationship.
It's easy as an online stranger to tell you to leave him, but you have to make that decision in the end. I always try to at least have a conversation before making a final decision like that. You are with two in a relationship after all, and got together because you like each other (I hope). If you are feeling uncomfortable, and don't see a way that this relationship can be saved, you have your answer. Good luck
There are always pros and cons to people and their relationships. When the cons start to include pushing/breaking boundaries and/or lying, that should immediately pretty much put way the pros entirely. ESPECIALLY if it’s a recurring or persistent issue. Protect yourself, no one deserves that. I know how scary it is to break away and feel alone again but it is entirely worth it. You are worth it! For what it’s worth, this rando 23 yo Fudanshi is rooting for you, lol.
Every kind word meant more than I can put into words. Thank you for listening without judging me and for caring about someone you've never even met. I'll genuinely never forget your kindness or your advice. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so, so much. I hope life returns your kindness to you tenfold.
I was quite sceptical about reading this because some readers were saying that he raped her. But after reading it, I just feel like whoever said that has absolutely no comprehension skills. Maybe learn to differentiate between actual rape and consensual sex.
Not to be that guy, but if the holy water is basically equivalent to modern day alcohol + date rape drug, it’s certainly not wholly consensual like you’re saying. Even though he wasn’t the one that gave it to her.
Remember that if one person has severely impaired function, whether it be through alcohol, weed, drugs, etc. it’s not consensual. (Even if you’re dating). People with impaired function cannot consent
Ofc it’s fiction so we know Tilia probably is immune to the effects of this, but that’s lowkey a dangerous message to spread so I figured I’d say something
It was still consensual because Tilia was still conscious when she asked him. He was only to trick her into drinking the antidote for the holy water but again she insisted. She was not complete not aware of her surroundings when she still was able to choose. She was not physically or mentally impaired like you're making her out to be. She did that because if she wouldn't have sex she would miss the exam, she knows she could have rode it out in her dorm or somewhere else but there was something at stake. She didn't even know there was an antidote only that it heightens arousal. She didn't know the duration so she can't risk her future. She was obviously somewhat in control of her situation. I read the novel and pretty much it didn't even bother her because she just want to get the fuck out.
Wait you are absolutely right. But i'd advise you to read the novel, it gives more details and more insight than the manhwa. I read the novel when this story was just starting and i tell you, she did actually consent. In the novel, her mind was still very sharp but she could not have herself going into the exam hall feeling that way cuz that would make her lose focus. Plus she refused the antidote cuz of the time and they had sex because that was faster for her.
Right after they had sex, she yeeted herself outta that room cuz her goal was to get herself to calm down in the fastest way possible.
Also she came and begged uhm (forgotten ml name) he refuse quite a bit before agreeing because if he didnt, all the guys in school would see her and help her but mock her quite more. She was very much conscious of her decisions in that moment. She is not impaired in the moment like you are making her out to be.
please help this lad, give me the link. i've been trying to search for it but it's either paid or doesn't exist at all
im so sorry i forgot where i read it then. wait lemme check if i can still find it
Sorry. I tried looking for it but could not find it. You might have to read it on novel updates but be sure to make an acc first so you can read. Also i remember when i read it. The whole story was free, except the side story. Im confused on how all the chapters gotta be bought at some point now.
Gurl nvm i found it. I went to check my previous discussions with ppl cuz i remember giving the link to sum1 else too

I love you

yeah I get what you’re saying, but dizziness, blurriness, overheating, head hurting, feeling like you absolutely need something, doing things you wouldn’t normally do, and being surprised by your own thoughts/actions are all contributors/side effects to cognitive impairment.
People that are too drunk/high are able to make decisions, but they’re (legally, in my country) unable to give consent bc alcohol/drugs impacts the part of your brain associated with decision making. And it seems like that’s what’s happening here. At least in the comic version.
You’re right about it not being a big deal in this comic since that was clearly not the author’s intent, but IRL it’s nonconsensual.
Okay that’s good to hear actually. You’re right I was simply judging off the manhwa alone lol. But the only reason I said something was bcs I don’t want people to be misinformed about what consent is IRL and make some regrettable mistakes. Esp since the comic is what most people are reacting to first and she very much seems impaired here. Yeah but thank you for the insight
You didn't understand my point. She has the option to not go with the actions that she did if there was nothing at stake. I don't think you read my entire comment and this is coming from someone who got SA'd sober and not sober so I know what it feels like. She has the option to not go with it and ride it out but she wants to get rid of it because she has an exam and she didn't know when it will last. That's the main thing you did not get in my point. She has the option to walk away. I didn't have that kind of option when I was not sober because I can't actually fucking walk nor did I have the strength to do so. I specifically said in my previous comment especially near the end that she wanted to get it over with. So kind of weird for you to lecture me the semantics of consensual and nonconsensual like the law is somehow different in my country.
I’m very sorry that happened to you.
In this situation, she’s drugged to crave sex, and we know her judgement is impaired enough to where she can make decisions, but she can’t fully consent. I’m not interested in arguing with you- it’s okay that you have a different opinion. I just encourage everyone to think deeper about these subjects and research on their own so we can prevent these types of things from happening in the real world. Every woman I know including me has had to suffer from the effects of nonconsensual sexual acts where they feel violated, but no one is solely at fault in the situation because people aren’t educated enough on consent
Once again, she knows what is happening to her. She has the option to ride it out. Do you know what ride it out means? To not engage with other people and stay in one place and let it pass. She CHOSE to have sex because she doesn't want it to be an obstacle for her taking the exam. She is still conscious to make a decision for herself. I've read the novel and literally she wanted to have sex because she doesn't know the duration and it feels bothersome to just ride it out especially while having a roommate. Whether here or in the novel both were done with her conscious decision to go with it because it's much more convenient to her. Key word, convenient. You know how it feels like then you should know how important it is and how empowering it is to have a choice or to actually have an option to walk away when she did. The fact that she had another option given to her by the male lead once again and she then insisted. Do you know what's on her mind that time? She's gonna use him and not even sexually but for her convenience. We should stop reducing women to victims when it's most evident that they have the option and is still make a conscious decision. Her heightened arousal doesn't make her suddenly become dumb. She didn't take a date rape drug. I am insisting on this because I actually know the difference between me and her because I didn't get the choice that she did.
I agree that choice is important. I disagree that being given a choice makes it completely consensual, especially when the other choice could have drastic consequences. Like her missing/failing the exam and being beat by her dad or being held back a grade. We could also tell in the manhwa that she had persistent drug induced sexual thoughts and feverish symptoms. She even argues with herself a couple times to resist the urges. She’s not dumb, but her decision making process is affected by the drug- not completely broken. It’s possible it’s different in the novel like you said, but the initial comment was talking about the manhwa only so that’s what I addressed.
Listen, im not claiming that it was rape or better/worse than other situations. Your experiences are valid and there are clear differences. All I’m saying is that this wasn’t perfectly consensual sex like the og commenter claimed. I’m not saying this makes her a helpless victim either. There’s def a grey area when it comes to consent
I think holy water has the same effect of viagra or aphrodisiac, it doesn't make you unable to consent or make clear decisions, she decided to have sex to make the effect go away due to the fact that she had the exam, she knew she could wait for the effects to go away
Yea no problem. And I'm not saying you are wrong with your opinion because that's a good thing to educate the mass cuz some really cant separate fiction from reality.
I agree with everything you're saying entirely. She was impaired and even if she made a "choice", if it was out of desperation and fear of the other option, and she wouldn't do that on a day that didn't have this ultimatum hanging over her, then it's not real consent
