Meh. One of Yamamoto Kotetsuko's weakest works so far.
The uke's attitude was nice for once tho!

Cece October 14, 2015 5:17 pm

You know.. it's not like I needed a kiss scene or anything, I just wanted a confirmation that they're a couple. I mean it's heavily implied that they're in love with each other but it's never ever confirmed. To me, this is really disappointing.

But it's a great read overall! It's slow-paced, with loveable characters and I never felt bored while reading it. More BL should follow the example of this manga and take it slower, lol. I'm kinda tired of reading all those short and rushed BL stories. There are so many of them..

    Anonymous October 15, 2015 2:51 pm

i agree! but this manga doesn't need the word "i love you" to settle everything, it make people feel love and see how strong connection between those two, it's all about trust, understanding and the love without any word. i think this point make this manga become a masterpiece.

I don't really care whether they say "I love you" to each other or not, that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about a confirmation that they're together in a romantic way. It doesn't matter to me how it's confirmed, as long as it is. 'Cuz as far as I know, it wasn't confirmed in the manga, only heavily implied. Some people might like that, but I hate being teased like that haha.
I love the trust and understanding between the two just as much as you, and I know words are not needed for them to know how much they mean to each other.

While I can understand your feelings, I would be rather disappointed if their relationship was confirmed like that. Abe-sensei seems to write just as many ambiguous as non-ambiguous relationships and that's what I like about her. since some of the latter relationships she depicts can be somewhat disappointing. I mean You Will End Up Loving Me AND First Love piss me off precisely because of that. So, it's not as if it's automatically a good thing to have it confirmed. Plus, I find it gets kind of boring to have all relationships fit into a neat and perfect little box all the time.

    Cece November 10, 2015 11:23 pm

I'm not really sure what you mean by "like that". Do you mean in a specific way or just confirmed at all?
I haven't read those works by Abe-sensei, so I can't say anything about it. I've only read this one and Super lovers (which I love btw).
You can like ambiguous relationships if you want, but I'm not one of them. I see it as nothing but frustrating. For me, it's like looking at a tasty cake, and then not getting eat it in the end.

Cece September 10, 2015 10:49 pm

This sure was enjoyable to read! I just love it when both partners blush like crazy, and this mangaka never fails to disappoint about this, lol.

I just read the spin-off with the abusive boyfriend (I'm so happy he let go of Yumi on his own and willingly btw), and it was quite good tbh (Kan-chan is actually really cute)! I hope that it will be scanlated in english soon.. (I read it raw with drama cd, so I could understand most of it)

    Anonymous September 13, 2015 3:49 am

where did you find the raws?

Found the raws at Nihonomaru and the drama cd at Aarinfantasy.

There are so many people here wanting Take and Mine to be together..
Personally, I don't believe that would work. The reason Take is so interested in Mine in the first place is because he is so in love Hiroi. And Mine is not attracted to Take in a romantic way. He likes him more as an important friend (with benefits lol), not the way he likes Hiroi. It might be just a little sad for Take who has a one-sided love for Mine, but he seems to be fine with the situation as it is. It's not simply because he doesn't want Hiroi to get hurt - if Mine started to like Take instead of Hiroi I don't really think he would want to be with him. Like I said before, Mine's love for Hiroi is partly why he even likes him. If Mine wasn't like that, I don't think Take would be interested in him, tbh.

    takame October 27, 2015 2:53 pm

i totally agree. and some people miss this little detail, forgetting the reason why take got interested in mine in the first place (no hiroi, no mine). and that he is totally fine with the setup they had now.

    Anonymous October 30, 2015 12:23 am

I want Hiroi x Mine. I think I'm the only one lol. I do like Take x Mine for a sexual relationship bc they r just hotttt Fire sexy.

    Anon December 23, 2015 2:52 am

The author has also said that Take loves Mine because Mine puts him in a different position then he does Hiroi. Before I even read the author's quote, I was thinking why people want Mine and Take together when it's obvious that Mine doesn't like Take in that way. But I guess people always go for the sex.

Cece September 3, 2015 5:25 pm

Shouldn't this be tagged as yaoi?

dunno.... for me it just works :) ....mabey I am not attached to roles ...and when it comes to it they are 2 GUYS so why not try both ways??...would be fun :) .....but the characters of both guys must be right for that...can't really imagine some really sweet delicate uke doing that to a masculine macho seme he he he.. I really like how it was shown in http://www.mangago.me/read-manga/sojou_no_koi_wa_nido_haneru/ (note there is prequel!) and in http://www.mangago.me/read-manga/neji_no_kaiten/ :)

Well, why would you dislike it? They're both guys, both can do it. If both can do it, why should it be a rule to only stick to one? It's like saying that both of the other can give each other BJs, but only the uke can do it and the seme can only give him rimming. Sounds stupid, right?

    H~H October 16, 2015 2:01 pm

Ahahah~ I think is because when you read a yaoi manga, you got that yaoi instinct on knowing who are the uke and seme. But some times you guess it wrongly. I would be kinda shock and surprise but not really hate it. Maybe I should put it this way, as what rangda ( one of the commenter ) had said,

"characters of both guys must be right for that...can't really imagine some really sweet delicate uke doing that to a masculine macho seme "

If that's the case, I would likely drop the manga. Maybe it's just not my cup of tea. ^^

Well, what you prefer in bed has got nothing to do with personality or body stucture. It's just about what feels good, you know? And an uke can be dominant, as well as an seme can be submissive.

I get that it's a preference but it's kinda like forcing the heterosexual stereotypes on homosexual couples imo. To make it more "normal" or whatever. I don't like it.

Is that so? Where does your opinion come from? (I mean what did you observe)
Because I've met people with dominant personalities who are submissive in bed. And when it comes to gay sex, whether you like to receive or penetrative has got nothing to do with being dominant or submissive since the one topping can be submissive as well. So yeah.

    black manju November 12, 2015 3:48 am

I agree with you completely, but it's the yaoi itself that's the problem here
Mangas in general tend to stick to stereotypes and just rework them to infinity, and in yaoi we have this, a "girl" uke and a "man" seme. While it may make transition from shoujo to yaoi easier for some, it degrades the uke and the manga itself so much. We end up getting the epitome of manliness - the seme and a girl with a d*ck - the uke.
For most yaois preferences aren't even a question, the blushing maiden uke is perfectly happy to be always taken.

I ADORE BL i always felt the relationship between 2 guys was so much stronger then any girlxguy ones i found. And yaoi was my gateway to the BL world, but now i find it hard to get into any story. The characters are too one-dimensional, and the thing i care the most about in any book/LN/manga is well developed characters. Well this applies to manga in general for me, as well as for books.
    I've became such a picky fan (● ̄(エ) ̄●)

    Cece November 12, 2015 4:52 pm

Well, that's just the stereotype. There are plenty of BL where the uke isn't overly girly and the seme isn't overly manly. Although the annoying seme/uke roles still remain.. I wonder if this is ever going to change?

I also love BL (although, sometimes I ask myself why lol!). Well, I can't say I feel more for bxb than bxg (I used to be like that tho), it just depends on the couple.

I've also become more picky over years I've liked BL. I still enjoy most things that I read, but it's rare that I actually give a 7/10 score or more for a BL manga nowadays, haha (I score most of the recent ones I read 3-6. I mean on myanimelist btw). Feels like I've already read all the really good ones. People should make more long BL manga so that they have more time to develope the story and characters properly..

Cece August 24, 2015 10:37 am

Didn't like this. None of the couples were interesting in any way and the so called "therapy" made no sense. I was waiting for story for Kain but that didn't come..

    triplewee November 12, 2015 9:34 pm

    That's exactly how I felt.
