Is it normal or am i just stupid cuz i dont really understand the difference between the eastern and western isekai youre describing

I guess they mean the difference between fantasy rpg ispired worlds, who western medival towns like danmachi, re zero, konosuba (actually most isekais are like this) and worlds ispired by asian history and folklore like dororo, kimetsu no yaiba and such. But I don't think I've ever seen an isekai set in feudal japan. That genre is too cookie cutter and the worlds are always the same shit
