it feels like the side stories are jumping around a lot. I wish these two get their own spin off and the author expanded on siwoo and byulās relationship with the side stories
"im a woman so im not that interested in gl" I have a feeling you're not really understanding what I meant so pls re-evaluate why you worded this out. and fyi, there are many, many people who could be accepting to one kind of homosexual relationship but not the other (especially the one with their own gender identity). it's unfortunately very common.
ok this is my last reply on this I promise I'll go fuck off after this but like what was the point in revealing that you're also a woman to show ur disinterest in wlw fiction? like serious or not positive or not there realistically should be some kind of intention behind typing out and sending it out in the open is it? am I really that much of a dumbass to point it out? but then again OP seems to hate me a lot more than I do of them and I don't see a point in continuing a convo when someone's already in a fighting stance so I left it at that
I'm with you, honestly your gender is irrelevant to what are you interested in reading, it kinda sounded like "I'm a guy so I don't like bl but I do love gl" you know? It has like this objectification to queer couples.
Being a woman and not liking gl bc you're a woman doesn't even makes sense! What about non binary people, should they don't like anything just bc they don't identify with the "normal" gender roles?
Sorry for the rant but honestly I'm tired of the narrative of "I don't like to consume media of a couple of my same gender bc I'm also that same gender"(?)
And I'm not saying you must consume media of couples of your same gender, I'm just saying using your gender to justify you not liking something is dumb
You guys need more friends. A real lgbtq friend to open your mind.
Since when does a straight woman not into gl and only into bl turn into homophobic? And me saying my gender specifically makes u guys so sensitive, honestly im so speechless. My gay friends don't even talk like you guys, they even laugh when I send your comments to my group chat who into bl and gl.
I'm with you girl... I'm also like you. Bc I'm a girl, i dont feel relatable to and enjoy gl. I've tried reading gl works but it just doesnt work with me. But i enjoy bl. I've also been called out as homophobic too in the past by people who dont even know what the term actually means. No shade to the others
Hey i also like tamen de gushi, one of my all time favs.
Don't worry. You said your opinion and that's valid. Tbh people who are actually lgbtqia+ don't even care about people's opinion abt them. I have a lesbo cousin who's married and they're expecting a child now. A friend of mine is also a sapphic couple. Her gf is androgynous and she's sooo handsome. Imma show the comments to them and update what they really think abt it
I get you. If any girls/women say "I like BL but not GL" it's usually a sign of homophobia. Because trust that they wouldn't like gay men irl either unless it's for shipping reasons. Fetishizing gay men but not liking wlw goes hand in hand. It's one thing for it to be a preference, because not everyone needs to like GL or maybe it's just not their cup of tea. But it's def a pattern I have seen. Specially when it's live action BL. The women viewers are all over the gay ships but as soon as the celeb turns out to be gay and dating someone not in the ship, they become so homophobic. It's all because they fantasize themselves being in the ship.
I'm not saying you're homophobic, I'm just saying that justifying your interest (in this case lack of interest in this side wlw couple) with your gender it's dumb.
There's a difference in "i just don't like it/not interested in that rn" to "I'm a woman so I don't like this/not interested is this" (in this context of a side wlw couple)
You're not wrong to express you don't like certain things, there's nothing wrong to expressing your preferences but you need to know the way you express it does matter.
Also, not all gay/queer people think the same we each have our lives and experience things differently.
your pfp is Himmel but you're filled with so much hatred it blinds your rationality. if you actually sit down and actually read what I sent notice how I didn't even CALL you homophobic, I said you SOUND like one. and who are you to assume I am also cishet like you are? the reason why I replied is bc I am queer. why would we call someone homophobic without any solid reason? I'm not coming at you personally, I'm just going off from what you literally said with your own words.
I don't even care if y'all just don't have a preference for GL, thats just taste and I understand and respect it like any other sane person. what I'm pointing out is purely how you use your own gender identity as a reason to justify this preference. meanwhile you're over here threatening homophobia as if its something WE actual LGBT folks have to earn your respect for and not basic common sense etiquette. it's 2026, I'm not going to let people come in and enjoy stuff from our community with this attitude.
sorry for replying again, but this reply is just so appalling I wonder if its actually ragebait. its a very cheap excuse but I'm glad to hear you have gay friends ig. try to come back to this a few years later, I feel like you'd change your mind on this topic the more reading comprehension you acquire
@Einkouze
Who the hell threatening homophobia again?
You're arguing against things I never said. I never claimed women can't enjoy GL, nor did I say my gender makes my opinion objectively correct. I simply explained why I, as a woman, relate to BL more than GL. That's called personal preference, not prejudice.
You also admitted you respect people's preferences, yet you still keep trying to attach moral judgments to mine. Those two positions don't really fit together.
This entire discussion started because you assumed preference makes me sound like a homophobia, when im not. Now you're making assumptions about my profile too. That's becoming a pattern.
And by the way, that's not Himmel. It's an illustration by @inplick on X, a well-known Link Click illustrator. Maybe don't make assumptions about people's profiles either.
Hello! Just a quick question. How do you think someone can relate more to BL if they do not have actual lived experience with it? I am not trying to add fuel to the argument or start a fight. I just feel like there are a few gaps in your statements that made me curious. More than anything, I just hope you do not see queer people, especially gay men, as something to fetishize. I know this topic can make people feel defensive, and I promise I am not attacking you. From the way you wrote, it just seemed like you were frustrated that some people could not accept your perspective. To be fair, I also think some of their points are valid. There are women who genuinely enjoy BL through webtoons, manga, series, or films, but still end up being uncomfortable with real gay people. Of course, that is not everyone. Some women simply enjoy the genre or self insert into the characters, and that is completely fine. Whatever makes them happy. But there are also people who unintentionally treat fictional BL very differently from real LGBTQ+ people.
As a gay man, I have personally experienced those ironic situations with some women. Thankfully, I have also met many who are respectful, educated, and genuinely supportive, so I know it does not apply to everyone. I also respect your opinion about preferring BL. It is definitely a topic that can be controversial. I understand why some people find controversial ships more exciting or emotionally engaging, especially because relationships between men have historically been treated as taboo or mocked by society.
At the end of the day, I support your right to enjoy BL, and I sincerely hope you are not one of the people who use BL as a way to justify homophobia or reduce queer people to a fantasy instead of respecting them as real people.
Have a great day!
Oh hell nah i never treat real people the same as my reading material dude.. those are 2 things i separate, fiction and real life
And once again as I said I have friends that I usually hang out with, they are lesbians and sometimes gay people and I never feel uncomfortable with them.. I treat them just the same as my straight friends, just a normal person.
And that's why I can defend myself that I'm not a homophobic, and my friends are also on my side for this topic, soooo long as my real lgbtq circle doesn't blame me about it. I would never listen to these dumbass who blame me just for my preferences.
They can get sensitive all they want and I don't care. But when they pissed me off I would reply of course
Cant you think or what? That because im interested in men.. of course i wound prefer looking at man. Why would i looking at women? As a women myself im not that interested in gl.. but if the genre are the same like tamen de gushi i can still enjoy it, because that what my lesbian friends recomend for me, they know what i like the best. And im grateful to have them as my friends.
Some of you need to think reall deep about it. Not interested doesn't mean hate it.
Well itās just a weird odd thing to say is allālike if u donāt like the GL part of this story donāt read it instead of being like āI canāt connect with it bc Iām a womanā⦠some women like stories and arenāt just reading stories to ogle the menā¦.
Also itās really weird that youāre pulling out the āI have a gay friends
That's not pulling cards, that's stating the fact! Do you even know what that word means, huh??? There's no way they've been friends with me for decades if I'm homophobic or say something that makes them uncomfortable with me.
Yup? Now I know why there is a term that is useless when talking to an empty barrel that makes a loud sound.
Go on trash more, idc. As long as i got a good live and good peope irl.. talking with u people dont worth my time. I explain enough. Stupid will not listen. And haters will kepp on hating.

this is one of my favourite mangas iām so sad that itās forever on hiatus cuz pro censorship ppl harassed the author off all her social medias. She went out of her way to change the eng dub for the anime and said she wonāt include teacher x student themes in her future works and ppl are still complaining.
