Her ex is simply obsessed with her. The way he “loves” her is just the way a kid loves a toy. He doesn’t give a sh** about how FL feels nor did he think there was anything wrong with the way he treated her. The fact that he was willing to push her to the brink even after she killed herself proves that as long as she’s in his possession, he doesn’t care about her mental state.
