The one advising him rk is his target who's telling him how he became corrupt Bec the higher ups used him and abandoned him and that Jake will end up the same way which did happen tho.

So I read it way back and don't remember much but MLS mother got bewitched by yk what mc is (I forgot) so MLS father killed the mothers lover and mc thought his family broke apart Bec of that and when he went to visit his mother the last time he thought she's gonna ask about him but all she asks about is her lover. So apparently MLS goes on a killing spree he kills those creatures (don't remember ) he apparently killed Kang hees family too. He took time apart from mc when they became lovers because he had to digest the fact that his lover is yk what.
